We are looking for a passionate waiter joining our high-quality Cantonese restaurant, located in the most lively and bustling heart of Amsterdam. You will play an essential role in creating a valuable authentic traditional Dim Sum and Cantonese dining experience for guests in our restaurant.

Your Role:

·      Welcoming guests at the assigned table. Presenting the menu and providing detailed information. Offering menu recommendations according to guests’ needs and demands and proactively up-sell and cross-sell when appropriate.

·      Taking orders, communicating necessary order details to the kitchen and bar team. Delivering the right dishes and beverages to the right guest at the right time. Handling checks and payment.

·      Preparing tables by setting up napkins and silverware, consistently checking and maintaining their cleanliness and presentation to ensure a tidy and clean dining area. Assisting back of house tasks to ensure Mise-en-place is ready for the next shift.

·      Adhering to all food and drinks safety regulations, policies, procedures and standards under the guidance from the supervisors or managers. 

We are looking for a bartender to join the team. Together with the team, you are aiming to delivery an exceptional experience by making beverages to each guest while keeping a smooth operation.

Your role:

·      Preparing alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to the order.

·      Restocking and replenishing bar inventory and supplies, maintaining its cleanliness and presentation.

·      Performing back of house tasks, like polishing glasses, cutleries to ensure Mise en Place is ready for the next shift. Assist the waiters when needed.

·      Adhering to all food and beverage safety regulations, policies, procedures and standards under the guidance from the supervisors or managers.

We are looking for a passionate and talented chef to join the kitchen team to participate in the efficient restaurant operation and ultimately deliver the quality Cantonese dining experience to each guest.

·      Preparing, cooking and presenting all Oriental City Amsterdam dishes according to the correct recipe and the correct quantity at the highest quality at all time.

·      Ensuring your station is consistently sanitary and well-stocked. Setting up, cleaning down your station and preparing Mise- en-place as required.

·      Following directions provided by the Executive chef and assisting other areas of the kitchen when required.

·      Adhering to all health and safety, food safety and hygiene (HACCP) regulations, policies, procedures and standards.

Your role: 

You are responsible for ensuring all sanitation standards are met in the kitchen area. You will assist kitchen staff, ensure all areas are clean and sanitary.

·      Scraping food from dirty dishes, pots, pans, plates, flatware and glasses, washing dirty dishes and put them away.

·      Assisting with sweeping, mopping and polishing the kitchen area.

·      Assisting with unloading and storing deliveries.

·      Emptying and cleaning trash receptacles and keeping the garbage area clean and tidy.

·      Adhering to all food safety regulations, policies, procedures and standards under the guidance from the executive chef.
