‘Dim Sum’ originally refers to small-portioned and delicately prepared food. Cantonese Dim Sum is famous for its wide variety, ingenious production, and diverse flavors. It includes various cooking methods such as steaming, boiling, pan-frying, deep-frying, and baking. It is moderate in size, pleasing to the eye, and could taste sweet or savory. Cantonese Dim Sum originated in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province, and is an important part of Cantonese cuisine. Through the perfect integration with the local tea culture, it has developed a very unique and charming morning tea culture (‘Yum Cha’), which is a valuable constitution of the Chinese food culture.
