Dragon Boat Festival, also known as Duan Wu Festival, is one of the most important traditional Chinese holidays. It is established to commemorate the ancient Chinese patriotic poet Qu Yuan, who drowned himself in the river on this day.
The annual Dragon Boat Festival season is also the harvest season of Lychee. Lychee is a Southeast Asian fruit which is delicious juicy and sweet, with a flower fragrant. It has become a culinary star of the Dragon Boat Festival except for the sticky rice dumpling (Zongzi).
